Izabelle Brandli

Being from the Midwest I grew up around an abundance of quilting, nature, and rural life that I have great respect and appreciation for.  I use paper making and fiber arts to create exploration of self through portals abstracting the environment. When making these works I am choosing symbols that represent my connection and personal interest to nature. I have a background in scientific illustration and that knowledge allows me to draw from detailed and complex moments that are naturally occurring.
